“It was amazing. The canyon is so so beautiful! During the walk you go up and down. We were allowed to use the ice slide twice that was next to the path. Super fun. Despite the -20 degrees, you warm up in no time. At the BBQ you get tea or hot chocolate. In addition, a Finnish sausage with potato bread. Real cozy. The way back after the BBQ was quite tough. It’s only up, so be ready for a steep hike! We didn’t take a lot of breaks, so we went up quite fast. New record. 😮‍💨😂”

“This is a 5 km or 3.2 mile hike through the canyon, walking in the winter wonderland and seeing 3 frozen waterfalls. The company provides overalls and crampons (spikes) for the feet which really kept us from slipping on the snowy paths. Our guide, Walter, was fun and informative, taking great care of the group. He was dedicated to taking great photos at different angles of everyone in the group in iconic viewpoints. He also carried hot water to make cocoa in the middle of our hike and cooked sausages for us during the bbq time. Met some great people. I highly recommend this tour!Read more”

“We took a tour of the waterfalls on Nov 20, 2025. The waterfalls were beautiful. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of our tour guide, but he was extremely patient, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable! I believe it was his first time leading a waterfall tour. He did a great job!!! I'd like to thank him for being very patient with us while we were walking up steep inclines. I had to pause a few times and he waited patiently each time. Seeing the waterfalls is well worth the walk.”

“A well-organized trip courtesy Beyond Arctic. Beyond Arctic provides very durable and warm overalls, gloves, shoes and spikes for the hike. The drive to the location is around 1.5 hours and in a comfortable van. Our guide Aleksi was polite and a lot of fun! As for the hike itself, it was the highlight of our trip and a must-do for any visitors to Rovaniemi. The hike is mostly easy with some strenuous uphills (esp that last stretch) but the scenery and waterfalls make up for some of the tiring bits. We also had a nice BBQ towards the end of the hike. “There were 4 of us on our tour. Our tour guide Malcom (aka ‘Malc’) was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about Northern Lights. Unfortunately, Malc was clearly not very experienced in the Korouoma Waterfalls tour that we were doing. He entered the incorrect destination address into his GPS and drove for another 1.5 hours beyond where we were due to stop. With only 4 hours of daylight in Rovaniemi at this time of year, we had wasted precious daylight hours with that error.
