“During the drive to the farm we talked to the guide and he told us many interesting things about the reindeers, the farm and overall the life in Finnland. For instance, exactly this farm is the oldest in the region( 400 years) and you can see that the animals and people are treated with love there. In the farm the owner met us with his 2 beautiful dogs. Then we had a one-hour ride, by -30 it was cold but still manageable. “We had a fun half day on this tour. Great opportunity to meet the huskies and reindeer and sample a sledge ride. Both activities were relatively short however long enough for us as a family. Be prepared for full self drive, some on our tour seemed surprised by this. Tour guide was lovely and transportation very nice. We got to go out on the beautiful snowy lake at the reindeer farm and even do a bit of sledging (simple but the kids loved it). It is a pricey activity but amazing experience.”
